Riki Lindhome decided to connect her biography with the arts at a young age. Now the American is known to the general public as a performer of character roles, singer, comedian, producer, director and blogger.
Popularity came to the actress in the early 2000`s after a number of box-office movies and entertainment series aired on channels IFC, Warner Bros. Television, DreamWorks Television and NBC.
Childhood and Youth
Erica, or Riki, Lindhome was born on March 5, 1979 in a small town in Pennsylvania. Her childhood and youth were spent in a place called Portville, located in Cattaraugus County in western New York State.
The welfare of the girl was taken care of by her parents, who had Swedish roots. From her father and mother, the future actress inherited a Scandinavian appearance and a sharp mobile mind.
During her school years, showing an interest in history and literature, the young American won the contest “Profiles of Courage,” organized by the John F. Kennedy Library. Early in her career, Lindhome failed to get an agent who could find her a job. Despite this, in the early 2000s she managed to get small roles in the sitcom “Titus” and the hyped comedy drama “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”.
In 2003, Tim Robbins, founder of the experimental theater The Actors’ Gang, invited Riki to become part of the troupe. The aspiring actress played U.S. Secretary of State Candoleezza Rice in the satirical play Embedded, and then she and four other colleagues on the set of Clint Eastwood’s sports drama “Baby in a Million” which won the Screen Actors Guild of America, the “Golden Globe” and “Oscar”.
Collaborations with stars Hilary Swank, Morgan Freeman, Anthony Mackie and others have benefited the Pennsylvania native. Writer and producer Amy Sherman-Paladino offered the girl a recurring role in the author’s family drama “Gilmore Girls.” Playing Juliet, a friend of Rory Gilmore and Logan Huntzberger, the actress has mastered new acting techniques and hatched the idea of making your own movie.

In addition, during the 2007 American Writers Guild strike, Lindhome discovered new talents, developed a passion for music and became part of the comic folk duo Garfunkel and Oates. Together with her partner Kate Micucci she created the short film Imaginary Larry, recorded a song for the medical series Clinic and released a number of singles and albums promoted on her MySpace account.
The 2010s brought a number of American actress career growth film and television projects.
